Young Professionals of Wichita

  • Celebrated two years of empowering YPs
  • More than 2,000 young professionals involved in 20 events in 2007
  • Six Action Teams focused on increasing professional and leadership development as well as volunteer opportunities

The Chamber introduced several new programs early in 2007 designed to keep our workforce alive and thriving.

  • Developed Workforce Solutions, a “one-stop shop” serving member’s needs, including hiring assistance, training and business services
  • Launched “Red Carpet” initiative, a service for members to attract and retain talent
  • Conducted “Market Wichita” seminars to educate recruiters on our community’s unique strengths
  • Held second “Love ‘Em or Lose ‘Em” event, giving valuable insight on increasing employee retention
  • Assisted 62 companies in 92 deliverables
