GWEDC projects announced in the first half of 2007

  • Convergys- world’s largest provider of contact center services (600 jobs)
  • York- HVAC systems for the residential and light commercial markets (1,437 jobs)
  • TECT Aerospace- semi-finished and finished engine and airframe components and assemblies (80 jobs)

Results as of year-end 2006

  • 6,800 jobs created or retained in three years (85% of five-year goal)
  • Projected annual payroll of nearly $250 million with average wage exceeding the average Wichita metro area wage
  • Capital investment projected at over $302 million
