After roughly 20 years, the Chamber building was rebranded.
Our brick and mortar quarters stood unwavering as the men arrived wielding mighty branding irons (a.k.a. Sign A Rama cherry picker, drills, and non-illuminated dimensional lettering). She didn’t flinch as the old block letters were torn away leaving her momentarily bare. She beamed with pride as they affixed her new wardrobe – greeting visitors with a bold and cheery hello. The upward arrows of the logo point to the heavens conjuring images of grandeur...ok, maybe it's not that dramatic.
But it is a significant difference compared to the old black lettering. The inspiring orange, green and blue (Pantone 471, 547, and 5763 for all you designers) offer a relieving splash of color against the tan brick facade. While not a complete building makeover, the update adds a little more pep when I step into the building in the morning – encouraging me to Venture Boldly.
Although your haplessly dateless cousin may not like to hear this – looks do matter – especially when it comes to workplace environment.
