YP Take One: Panelist Bios

 Tara Shaffer Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, Wichita Symphony Orchestra Tara Shaffer is a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita State University with a BFA in Music Theatre performance. She is the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her work at the Symphony she performs frequently at Mosley Street Melodrama and has appeared in productions at Music Theatre of Wichita, Crown Uptown and Wichita Center for the Arts. She also recently choreographed The Music Man for Music Theatre for Young People. Tara started in YPW as Vice Chair of the Access Team for 2005-2006 and moved into the position of Core Council chair for the 2006-2007 year. She currently volunteers on the Pulse Team. She is an active volunteer for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where she has spoken at events on the effects of MS on families. She has sung the National Anthem for the MS Walk and MS Bike Tour for many years and served on the planning committee for the 2007 MS Walk. |
